ダンスミュージックシーンを裏側から支えるYuta Shimizuをエグゼクティヴプロデューサーに迎え、
4Kの映像音楽作品をYoutube内、ETCHED INTO THE MINDオフィシャルチャンネルにて配信していきます。
003は、八ヶ岳の南西、長野県と山梨県の県境、リゾート地として知られる清里、高原野菜の産地として知られる川上村、野辺山地域中心に撮影されました。
今回の作品制作にあたり、”生命、または山や木々に宿るそのようなもの”にフォーカスしたい。というコンセプトを我々は持っていたので、尊敬するアーティスト Wata Igarashi に出演のオファーをさせていただきました。彼の緻密で陶酔感のあるサウンドデザインは、ドローン撮影でのダイナミックな風景の浮遊感、疾走感はもちろん、意識を一点に集中させていくような映像とも良い反応を起こすと想像しました。
ロケーションではなく、アーティストから選んだのはこれが初めての挑戦でした。
Wata Igarashiが、その貴重なLive Setを我々のプロジェクトで行うことを了承してくれた後、我々はこのコンセプトに相応しいロケーションを探し始め、八ヶ岳、南アルプス、奥秩父連山に囲まれる自然豊かなこの地を選びました。
今回も地域の魅力を伝えるために様々なロケーションと時間帯で撮影を行いましたが、Wata Igarashi の演奏シーンは、1982年3月に開所以来、国内外の多くの研究者により電波天文学の研究や装置の開発・改良などが行われ、これまで世界をリードする研究成果が多数生まれてきた場所、国立天文台 野辺山宇宙電波観測所にて撮影させていただきました。
都市部からの電磁波が及ばない山間部で、宇宙との対話を求め続けるこの施設で撮影できたことは、この作品のコンセプトをより強くしてくれました。そして、何よりもWata Igarashiの音楽との素晴らしいマリアージュ、精神の中で宇宙旅行に旅立つような感覚をみなさんにお届けできることを嬉しく思います。
また、研究者の方々とお話しできたことは個人的にも素晴らしい経験となりました。国立天文台 野辺山宇宙電波観測所の研究者の皆様、南牧村農村文化情報交流館の職員の皆様、撮影に協力してくれた地域の皆様に深く感謝いたします。ありがとうございました。
最後になりますが、昨今の研究費削減の中で、国立天文台 野辺山宇宙電波観測所は、資金難による施設閉鎖の危機に瀕しております。このような世界と肩を並べる施設の閉鎖は未来のために避けなければなりません。現在、ふるさと納税型のクラウドファウンディングが立ち上げられておりますので、ぜひご協力くださいませ。期限は2021年1月18日までです。

003 was taken in the southwestern part of Yatsugatake, the prefectural border between Nagano and Yamanashi prefectures, Kiyosato known as a resort area, Kawakami village known as a highland vegetable producing area, and the center of the Nobeyama area.
In creating this work, we had the concept of wanting to focus on "life, or something like that in the mountains and trees,” so we have made an offer to appear in our respected artist Wata Igarashi. We imagined that his elaborate and euphoric sound design would have a good reaction not only with the dynamic floating feeling and running feeling of the drone shooting, but also with the image that concentrates the consciousness on one point.
This was our first challenge to choose from artists, not from location. After Wata Igarashi agreed to do that precious Live Set on our project, we started looking for a location suitable for this concept and chose this place with abundant nature surrounded by Yatsugatake, the Southern Alps and the Okuchichibu Mountains.
This time as well, we shot at various locations and times to convey the charm of the area, and the performance scene of Wata Igarashi was shot at “Nobeyama Radio Observatory” where many researchers in Japan and overseas have conducted research on radio astronomy and development / improvement of equipment, and many world-leading research results have been produced so far since its opening in March 1982.
The fact that we was able to shoot at this facility, which continues to seek dialogue with space in mountainous areas where electromagnetic waves from urban areas do not reach, strengthened the concept of this work. And above all, we are happy to give you a wonderful marriage with Wata Igarashi's music and a feeling of traveling in space in the spirit.
We are deeply grateful to all the researchers at “Nobeyama Radio Observatory”, the staff of the Minamimaki Village Rural Cultural Information Exchange Center, and the local people who cooperated in the shooting. Thank you very much.
